Isolated heavy rainfall is likely in the upper Northeast today as the active low pressure area that degraded from tropical depression "Sonca" has covered the region and upper Laos, the Thai Meteorological Department announced on Sunday. People in the Northeast are advised to brace for possible flash floods for another day. Tropical storm "Nesat" is now over the southern coast of China. This tropical storm has no effects on Thailand, said the department. Meanwhile, a tropical depression over the area southwest of Taiwan has upgraded to be tropical storm "Haitang."
